I like the pizzicato heard right after “on a cold winter’s day,” on the radio or studio version of this(representing “seeing the snow fall on a cold winter’s day.”) Brings back memories of early 1983, when this was first released; I remember hearing it frequently then(and later into the 80s), I was big into country music then, still am.
I like many of the versions in this live show conpared to the album.
She has a God given gift to sing. Just Beautiful

Truly, a powerhouse of a vocalist. Her phrasing is wonderful and unique. I met her back in the 90s. Very sweet lady. She was well under five feet tall, but her energy, and genuine attitude, filled the room.

Rod serling was a genius. He was a paratrooper in ww2. He saw a lot of heavy fighting and suffered from horrible night mares. I guess he had ptsd.......before it was diagnosed. Unlike other vets he did not become an alcoholic nor a druggie......he channeled his ptsd into his creative genius. RIP mr serling........you created so much great literature........u should feel proud.......thank u sir........

Woww, and I thought her only relationship with Rod was in 'Two,' co starring with Charles Bronson. Now I learned she goes much further as a 'Zone Veteran.'
I can't say for sure, but since Serling was not the director or the producer of Kraft Theatre, she probably did not meet him for Patterns. On the strength of this show, however, Rod became the producer of "Playhouse 90". I wonder if EM did an episode of that show.

Unknown, of course, unless buried in some forgotten interview. He at least enjoyed the royalties as Brenda's albums were all over the charts during this period. I will say that her last note is stronger than Frank's. 😇
